Taqwa aims to expand within next three (3) years of its operation through an institutional microfinance approach utilizing Islamic Microfinance principles in Zanzibar and be a market leader. Taqwa Microfinance aim to reform and be a market change maker in Islamic financingin Zanzibar through tailor made services and product. Taqwa intends to make an effective business plan to reach its profitability within three years of its microfinance operations to assist in the development of the Islamic Microfinance sector in Zanzibar and provide a demonstration model of Islamic Microfinance through Institutional approach.

Since 2007 Islamic Finance has been piloted in Zanzibar as an alternate approach to making interest free.low-cost finance available to SMEs and aim to serve majority of underserved population in Zanzibar. There has been few products that offer only Murabah financing. Taqwa Islamic Microfinance confidently need to go extra miles to promote full-fledged Islamic Micro-financing products approach on a sustainable basis.
